Chinese Winter Wellness Soup

from “Chinese Home Remedies”

Ingredients:

Brown rice
Red beans
Soybeans
Peanuts
Walnuts
Chestnuts
Red dates
Lotus seeds

Directions:
1. Choose any combination of the above ingredients
2. Place 2/3 rice and 1/3 nuts, seeds etc in a pan
3. Cover all the ingredients with water and soak overnight
4. Bring the mixture to a bowl, simmer until contents are soft
5. Keep in fridge and reheat, eat one small bowl a day
