9 Ways to Get Wellness for Less

While creating a life of wellness is your intention, you may have discovered there's more to it than you think. *Decision Making* is the name of the game. Here's a handy checklist I use to make sure each of my issues is being addressed, without my money leaking away. Please be my guest and use it for yourself!

Are you stretched to the max?

Yoga is a great way to get a self-induced stretch. However, unlike stretching, yoga is more than just physical movement. Even within the physical part of the practice, yoga is special because it makes a connection between the movement of the body and the workings of the mind and then connects all of that to the breath. That’s a lot of value for a bit of practice. Even better—a good hour and a half class costs anywhere from $12-$20 dollars typically. A tape at home gives over and over—time well spent : )

Have you made use of the tub you stand in when you shower?

Most of us take a daily shower simply for cleansing, but spas around the world use the therapeutic application of hot and cold showers, rinses, baths and a variety of water compresses. By really using your “water time” you can increase blood-flow, stimulate metabolism, reduce body pain and boost immunity.

Are all fingers accounted for?

There is a lot of power and information in your hands. You have right in front of you valuable indicators to how healthy your body is. For instance, a blue cast to the fingers is a sign of poor circulation, brittle fingernails are a sign of a lack of nutrients—most often Vitamin A—and horizontal ridges on fingernails is a signal of gastrointestinal difficulty.

Do your joints have enough heat?

A sauna or steam bath can help to ease pain in the joints, stimulate your sweat glands and overall boost the body’s natural defenses. Many spas will give you access to these amenities for a reduced fee. (You might get to wear one of those great spa robes, too!)

Is your body speaking to you?

Recently I held a teleclass (more on that in a minute) where I taught participants how to listen to what their body has to tell them. I call it a Body Scan. You can do it at anytime – for free AND I am going to give you the recording of the class to help you as well. Go here to listen: HERE

Is your body stimulated to heal?

Homeopathic remedies work because they trigger the body’s own ability to heal unlike antibiotics which are designed to kill germs. Unllike in the past when you would have to visit a homeopathic doctor for a specialized treatment (still recommended for any sever ailment), now there are a variety of over the counter options available for treating concerns such as the flu or common cold. I have found this method to save me a lot of time, money and “sick” days.

Have you listened in for free wisdom?

Like I mentioned earlier, one gift that I like to give my readers is the chance to participate in a monthly fr*e teleclass. All you need is a phone. Dial in and listen to loads of wisdom being offered from steps to increase your energy to ways to reach your goals and enhance your life vision. If you’re ever concerned you might have missed an offering check here for upcoming calls: http://www.individual-health.net/events.htm

Are you regulating your energy flow with TCM?

Traditional Chinese Medicine is ancient and centers on the idea of healthy qi (aka—chi, or life energy). There are many forms of treatment: massage, acupressure, and breathing, to name a few. These are all easy to make a part of your everyday life by consciously giving physical attention to muscles that hurt, using your own pressure points and learning more about breathing. Take a look at last weeks article in this EnergyRICH BLOG for some ideas.

Have an easy, healthy recipe on hand?

My friend Ezgi at Vegeterranean Catering www.vegetaranean.com also believes that the first step to wellness begins with a healthy diet. She promotes the saying “you are what you eat” very strongly and mentions that you don’t have to be money rich to eat EnergyRich™.
