Move Your Business Intentions Into Reality

Do you sometimes wonder what's the point of setting intentions?
Some entrepreneurs set goals and intentions with joy; but
others sabotage their business success by subconsciously
waiting for their intentions to bomb. Which is it for you?

I've spent a lot of time creating vision boards, journaling,
writing success recipes - you name it. I would do it all with gusto
and secretly wonder, does this really matter? I mean, I've done
it for 30 days and, well, where's my millions?

Until now.

Now, let me share first my yearly wahoo! of celebrating my
birthday (April 21 - I love my birthday!). I always take
time to reflect (in a good way) over the past year, where
I've been, where I'm going - that kind of thing. I also
often go through some reflections and look back over various
journals, mementos and past intentions that I set. I
remember when I was doing this a couple years ago that I was
literally astounded as I read and looked at "my intentions"
from 2001. First, I was shocked at how much of it had
happened and second, I had to laugh at some of what I had
put my energy and focus on
... I had manifested
everything from long hair to starting my own business, to
getting married.

But just for giggles, let's take a look at the intention to
have long hair, shall we?

So back in 2001 I was having a tough time. You may have
heard me say this before, but I was very sad. I started a
new job with a major salary cut, was dumped by my boyfriend
(harshly) and my city underwent the largest on-soil
terrorist attack in U.S. history-all in the same week. The
months that followed were not pretty. As I looked over some
of the intentions I had created for myself that year, I
couldn't believe I listed in my top 5: grow my hair long.

How embarrassing!

Grow my hair long? Where was world peace? A healthy relationship?
Increasing my income? Oh, it was there, but as I reflected
on the results of that year, guess what I was successful at?
You guessed it-long hair.

Hmmm...interesting.

Of course, you might be thinking growing long hair is no
where near as tough as starting a business. True, for some.
I personally had struggled for years with growing my hair.
And this is where the magic lies. I had so much else
going on that I didn't give my hair a second thought. It
just happened.


So as you create goals, make vision boards and use other
tools to get you closer to what you want, I invite you to
also be aware of what I've come to call your "back-stage
thoughts."
When I used to teach drama, I would stress to
my students how important the stage crew is.

They are vital. A show cannot powerfully function without a
stellar crew. However, all the audience sees is the
performance. And that's the way it should be, but if there
isn't synergistic support between back and on stage, you've
got a mess on your hands.

What's going on back stage for you?

I'm happy to report that I've learned to ask for much more
than long hair and continue to constantly partner my back
stage energy, and have watched my life and business
continue to blossom - including tripling my income, every
year for the past 3 years.


I'm so grateful for the magic I get to partake in every day
as I watch client after client really tap into the power
that is solely, uniquely them and turn it into business
profits that serve themselves and the greater whole which is
the world. It doesn't get any better than that.

But what's most amazing to me is to really experience the
immense growth in income when the focus is taken - off the
income.
Now, this doesn't mean you shouldn't watch your
numbers or care about your business' financial success; I'm
just sharing the true magic I've seen when the energy is
directed primarily on "how can I serve in the highest way
possible" ... and then the opportunities flow in and the
bank account fills up. It's such a
win-win.

How To Attract Your Ideal Clients Instantly

In the last EnergyRICH® Ezine I shared the importance of
allowing your potential clients to dip their toe in the water
of your business before asking them to take the plunge of a
larger commitment. (If you missed that article you can see it

next question I always hear is: "Yeah, but ... how do I meet

potential clients to begin with?"

So let's just imagine a possible scenario ... you
meet someone at a networking event, you click, you really
like this person - there's synergy there, you discuss your

follow-up and let the person know what a joy it was to meet
them, they say the same, you then begin to connect
regularly, you share and give very helpful information, the
person joins your on-line community and begins to receive

How to Turn Mistakes Into Miracles (And More Money!)

When I think of all the mistakes I've made in my business
(some small and some not-so-small) it's important to remind
myself that “perfect” doesn’t equal more successful.

I've observed that one of the main things that keeps
entrepreneurs from marketing themselves is fixating about
"getting it right."
But this is where the famous popular sneaker
phrase pops up because it seriously is about jumping in and
doing “it” and by that I mean ANYTHING. Just get moving. It’s better to do
it wrong than not do it at all. At least the marketing
energy is moving.

Any shortcoming or small blunder will hardly ever wreck your
business.


But getting so stuck in preparation that you never get
started, will stop you right in your tracks every time.

Worrying about making a mistake reminds me of freshman year
in high school.
Somehow in Junior High I was confident enough to perform a
solo version of King Lear for extra credit in 8th
grade, but when I crossed over the football field into the
High School everything changed. I suddenly second guessed my
every move. It was agonizing and a BIG expenditure of
energy. I shudder just thinking about it. I can tell you one
thing, I felt much more powerful in 8th grade.
So, let’s check in her for a moment - what's a better way to
do business – scared and second guessing or powerful and
performing?

Declare, “My services are valuable. I will speak this, feel
this, believe this when connecting with my prospects and
they will then see the value as well.” If you don’t, who

conversation. It's connecting with people in a way that has
them relating to what you have to offer. But obsessing about
the perfect wording is death to productivity.


Many entrepreneurs don't even realize that there's a certain

from prospects and it isn’t about choosing the biggest, best
words in the dictionary.

There are thousands of different marketing approaches
you could use to get the word out - from networking to

everyone else in your industry is. Entrepreneurs tend to
shoot themselves in the foot by using only one mode of
marketing, forcing themselves to do something because it’s
the “right thing to do when building business” and just
following what everyone else is doing.

Everything You Need to Know to Be Success

Is there a part of your business that's on hold because you're just doing what you always do? Are you so caught up in answering emails, trying to get clients, picking up the dry cleaning, and getting dinner on the table (or at least down your throat) that you've lost all sense of purpose? Or maybe the idea of having goals, doing something different, getting your business to another place just feels, well, exhausting and, anyway, if you really went after your dreams, you'd probably be disappointed.

Better just to stay put.

Try something. Close your eyes and let your mind wander.

Let it wander past your "to do list" or what has you annoyed right now and wander into the daydream area. Start to imagine your ideal life. Imagine yourself feeling at your best, doing everything you love, achieving your goals.

Do this before you read any further.

Did you do it? (You've got to engage to get going.)

What did you see?

There are usually two responses to this exercise:

1. Excitement and the start of newfound energy.

2. A list of all the reasons this isn't possible.

Are you able to listen to your dreams, or do you cut them off before they even begin to speak?

Our daydreams, fantasies, desires, goals, and future possibilities are the active power of our sixth energy point: intuition. What excites you and fills you with passion is directly connected to your life purpose and those thoughts are your intuition telling you, "Yes, this is the right direction. Go here!"

This is your life energy in full force.

Interestingly, what I hear from entrepreneurs a lot is the perception that intuition is the ability to predict the future, when actually it's simply about being able to tap into your natural knowing. We all have this ability. It's a practical tool and you don't need to wear crystals or listen to New Age music to access it. (Of course, if you do, there's nothing wrong with that--it's just not a requirement.) It's just the intuitive voice is more clear for some than others. What's usually blocking the voice from being heard are "shoulds," "doubts," and "fears." Most of us have been trained to listen to these lower energy voices by people who were simply trying to protect us, "Don't talk to strangers," "Keep your day job--it's safe," "You can't do that without an education." So to actually listen to your intuition, when it's telling you the opposite, tends to make you feel like you're a little crazy; so you just shut down and do what you're told.

Let me give you an example.

I remember, at one point, being faced with a decision concerning my business. A situation came up that had me questioning whether I should continue with a networking group I have been with since the start of my business. This group has served me really well and there were a lot of high quality entrepreneurs that made this group, yet my intuition was telling me this situation had popped up for a reason and it was time to let the group go.

The should/doubt/fear side of me was yelling, "Are you crazy? You'll never make it without this group. It's part of staying in business. It's what people do!" The intuitive side said to me, "You're not fully being served by this group. You have the choice to believe you have it in you to achieve success in a way that's aligned with your values." So I chose to leave and I'll tell you it wasn't easy, but I don't want to be the person that just writes about this stuff.

And what happened? My business doubled in the next 2 months. Cross my heart; pinky swear.

Let EnergyRICH® Business Systems Serve Your Productivity and Profit

Systems. This is about putting in place reliable structure so that most of your business goes on auto-pilot and you are freed up to do what you do best - your talent, your gift, your magnificence! There is one main area that I see entrepreneurs make a mis-step with their systems and that is day-to-day operations.

Most EnergyPOOR entrepreneurs don't have systems in place when it comes to operations because they believe if they do put these in place they'll be sacrificing freedom and flexibility. Or they complain that they have so much on their plates, so much to do that there just isn't the time to create these systems. Or this one, "I tried that and it didn't work." Or this, "that doesn't work in my business."

All of these "reasons" actually have you operating from the belief that you'll be restricted when the opposite is true. The belief is that without systems there is room to be creative, but the truth is without systems there is chaos. And chaos leads to loss of time, loss of energy and lots of room for gremlins to creep in.

Your inner gremlins are the dastardly negative voices in your head - lower level energy in action. The irony is that not having systems in place ALLOWS you to spend lots of time feeding these gremlins. Lots of energy is used to activate these lower energies, believe these lower energies, create proof that these lower energies are "right" and when you've gone this low no amount of reasoning, logic or support is going to steer you straight about who you really are and the magnificence you are capable of creating in your business - no matter what.

You feel lonely, out of control, full of doubt and you easily slide into the trap. Suddenly, you find that your fears about money keep you from sleeping at night. Your concentration becomes impaired, you begin to make mistakes during the day. Within nine months you are out of business.

Not really fun or free, huh?

I hear this question all of the time, "Heather, how are you able to create so much, so quickly and still have the time to travel and everything else you do." Answer = you set up systems to create TRUE freedom and you start with your day-to-day operations.

Now, many entrepreneurs actually spend most of their energy in this area, but don't necessarily have it systematized. This covers everything from arriving at the office (home or otherwise) to the filling of the water cooler to the actual nitty-gritty happenings of the service that you offer.

Let's look at systems that are CRUCIAL and must be in place for the operating of your EnergyRICH® Business:

· Bookkeeping - what system do you have in place to track all money coming in and all money going out? It's crucial that this is kept separate from your personal expenses. Energetically it declares the importance of the business. Practically it keeps you very honest and therefore your mind clear.

· Scheduling - what system do you have in place to smoothly and easily set up appointments with prospects, clients, assistants, vendors and strategic partners? It's crucial that this can happen as smoothly as possible, every time.

· Rescheduling - what system do you have in place to promptly address missed/rescheduled appointments? It's crucial that you are not bending your schedule for whenever someone else needs to make a change.

You see, the keys to business success are usually so simple, you doubt they will work. And if you have trouble getting things done, created or paid for your purpose, chances are you work waaaaay too hard and make things way to complicated. Set up systems so you are free to do the things that make you money FIRST - and manage your gremlins in the process.

7 Strong Steps to Move From Business Fear to Business Faith

Have you ever felt confused when it comes to your business? Maybe you've felt unsatisfied in your business, longed for some challenges, or knew you wanted to enter a new phase or direction of business, but just felt unsure about what to do or how to go about it. Whenever this topic comes up with my clients (as it has also come up for me), I've learned to notice that it isn't really about confusion, it's more about fear of success.

Do any of these fears connect for you? The fear of starting something new, fear that you won't be able to measure up, fear of disappointing others that count on you, fear of not doing something right, fear that

you're a fraud, and the biggie, fear that you DON'T DESERVE IT? Or the even bigger, biggie - fear of the ECONOMY.

I don't think I know anyone who hasn't experienced some form of fear when beginning or growing a business. It's natural. The problem is when it stifles your energy, and leaves you living dull and disconnected from your purpose.

So how do you move past that fear and on into the success of your life? You look for the coffee.

When I was a teenager, and would get so nervous the night before starting a new job, my dad would always say to me, "By this time tomorrow you'll know where the coffee is." This was code for--you're scared because it's unknown, but you've got to actually go do it to get to the known. And he was always right. By the end of my first day, not only did I know where the employees got their coffee, but it was also always a good conversation starter to people I didn't know,

"Could you please tell me where the coffee is? Oh, I take mine with just milk. No sugar, thanks." You get the idea.

Fear of change keeps you from thriving, from evolving, from asking for what you really want, from reaching out to connect with others, from taking care of yourself, and from challenging yourself. You are the manager of your energy, and this equals the master of your life, which includes your business and the level of your success.

Ok, so this sounds all good, right? But exactly HOW does one become the master of success no matter what's going on around you? Well, I'm what I like to call a "Get-It-Done-Gal." If I'm going to master anything (especially my life's purpose) I'm going to want to know some concrete steps I can take to do that. Now I know you're thinking (maybe, wishing?) that I'm about to try to pass on a magic bullet. Nope. What I am going to say is there are exact steps to take, but those steps aren't about expending your energy outward. Instead, those steps are about turning your energy inward. You've got to shift the inside to see the results on the outside. And when you do shift the inside you WILL see results on the outside no matter what's happening "out there." (I'm blessed to see this in action every day with myself, my private clients and Boot Camp members.)

Here's what you do:

1. Begin by identifying the original fear that's holding you back from making a change in your business or starting a business. (Fear of starting something new, fear that you won't be able to measure up, fear of disappointing others that count on you, fear of not doing something right, or, again, maybe the biggie, fear that you DON'T DESERVE IT...or perhaps what seems to be the favorite collective fear right now, fear of the economy.)

2. Look at your history. Start with your first job. Write it down. (Don't just read; do. You'll get faster results. Trust me.) Continue the list from there. Now go back and mark something that you received or learned from each position. What evidence do you see in front of you?

3. Celebrate what you've done. Give yourself a big pat on the back for everything that you've experienced and achieved so far. Nothing is too small. Wahoo! Go you! Seriously. To energize your success, you want to start by acknowledging what you've done so far.

4. Accept the compliments of others. This is just as important as #3. If you want more energy and success in your business, you've got to be able to let it in! If you can't say "thank you" when someone tells you they like your sweater, what makes you think you'll leave your energy open to accepting a new, high-paying client?

5. Track your commitment. Confusion and fear of success are great ways to talk around what you say you want, without having to actually do anything. It's important to check in with yourself. Do I really want this? Take one week and track the amount of times you think about/talk about making this business change. What kind of energy is generated? Do you feel excited, but scared? Or, could you really care less one way or another?

6. Re-evaluate the limiting belief or your fear. Is this fear who you are or maybe, just maybe, now that you've shed some light on it, not so powerful after all? Is it perhaps just a defense (again, it's natural to defend yourself when you're scared) or an excuse because you're actually happy to stay where you are, but feel pressured by others to want more--do more. The more open and honest you can be with yourself about your fears, the less power they have, and the more energy you actually have available to use and to make the change.

7. Continue to allow Energy Source (Spirit, Soul, God, Buddha - whatever language speaks to you) to work through you. Do this with bold action and the certainty that you can create whatever you want, whenever you want, no matter what. Abundance is the natural energy state of the world. Look around you - trees, flowers, animals - all thriving. It's the humans that make it hard to do so. The more you focus on abundance, think about it and experience it, the more you will become aware of the natural magnificence that really is. Then you have no reason to be confused. Or afraid.

3 Golden Keys to Using Your Voice to Boost Business

Recently I needed to tell someone that I was sorry ('Sorry for acting like a jerk' would have actually been the best phrase). You would've thought I was about to be executed the way I was dragging my feet. No matter how hard it felt I knew I needed to do it because not speaking those words would have toxic energy over-spilling into my body, my business and my success. That's a price I'm no longer willing to pay.

The fifth energy point is located at the base of the throat and it's quite powerful. Most people have a hard time believing this has anything to do with business success. I often hear, "What does my voice have to do with my business or getting more clients or a promotion. Don't I just need a compelling marketing message and leave it at that?" The energy of your voice is everything when it comes to business success, my friend, everything.

There's a belief out there that a your life energy is limited. This is often used as an excuse (usually a sign of something deeper that's being avoided): "It's not worth saying anything. I need to save my energy". Energy isn't limited. It's either flowing or it's blocked.

So what blocks energy? Holding back. Simple enough.

When you're afraid to speak your energy flow becomes very restricted. The constriction of the fifth energy point manifests in physical complaints such as sore throat, stiff neck and in characteristics such as acting shy, untruthful, incommunicative, introverted and unresponsive. Tightness is evident everywhere. Or the energy point can swing the other way out of balance: over-eating/drinking, gossiping, excessive talking, constantly interrupting, being critical of self, of others...

Neither extreme feels aligned for greater client or prosperity attraction, does it?

Ironically when you lose touch with your fifth energy point it's usually because you're trying to avoid conflict, don't want to hurt someone's feelings, or be rejected (you want to keep yourself safe), but you end up doing so much more harm than good. Tightness activates fear of expansion and that's your own success sabotage in action. The less energy you spend on speaking your truth, the less you have to spend. (Read that again. It's key.)

Let Your Prospects Know You

If you're focused on only what you can get from a
prospect, your fear of not signing on the prospect
or being withholding about the amount of time
you're spending with this person, your energy will be
resonating at a very low level.
This makes all the
difference in the world when you are interacting with
someone (actually, even more than the words you say!).

I highly recommend NOT offering a free sample session of any
kind. This is what I compare to the perfume counter at
Macy's. When you walk by the perfume counter, you know
you'll be asked to try something for free. You feel no
connection to the person offering it and the value
of the sample registers as pretty low.

Maybe you'll take it, maybe you'll leave it, but you, the
customer, are in the driver seat.

You want to create a different energy when connecting with a
prospect. You want it to be a co-creative experience.
You and your prospect are coming to this meeting on equal
ground. You don't need to prove anything. You just need to
meet together to connect.

When you do this in a way that sets the stage for sparking
the energy between you, then you are set up to move to
the next level of relationship
(prospect into
client).


Now think about it...when you are about to buy something or
are exploring working with someone, do you want him or her
to rush you through it or actually have the experience that
they really want to get to know you and your needs?

Now also think about this...do YOU want to rush into a
relationship with a new client or customer without getting a
sense of if they are your ideal client or not? (Think about
any not-so-great client or customer relationships you've had
in the past...want tons of those? I didn't think so.)

Setting the Stage

Setting the stage is getting on the same page energetically
with the person you're connecting with. You start any
serving opportunity by allowing in energy of trust.

Below is a list of questions/steps for you to sample as part
of forming an initial trusting connection with a prospect.
As you read through the questions, consider
what is important for you to include in your initial
prospect meeting, ask your inner guidance: "What parts
of this example feel good to me? What would I like to
incorporate into my own Prospect Process?" Make note of
these answers.

Questions to Ask Your Prospect

Start by gathering information about the prospect's
current experience.
How did they hear about you?
What/Who brought them to you? Ask, "What would you like to
experience from our time together today?" Be clear about
what they can expect from you in this conversation.

These types of questions put you in a place to truly
connect as PEOPLE and this makes all the difference
in the world when preparing to move to the next level
of a relationship.
And yes, you CAN do this in any business.
Imagine more people being more invested in your good
interest...your mechanic, grocery store clerk, doctor,
lawyer, accountant...feels good, right? Only good can come
(for you and the people you serve) from taking the time to
create this connection.

Next, be willing to share parts of you and your experience
that relate to and connect with what you've heard. Tell a
brief story, share a little tid-bit of a similar experience;
be honest and be human. Be willing to share what it is about
you and your business that connects to their situation.
Let them know they aren't alone in this.


When I used to work as a high school teacher, over and over
I saw the same pattern in teachers who struggled with
discipline and getting high-achieving results from their
students: They did not treat their students as people; they
blamed the lack of success on the students; they didn't
really trust (or believe) that their students could succeed.

Not quite an invitation to thrive
there, is it?

Now, please know I am not saying to give away oodles and
oodles of your time or information for free. I am simply
inviting you to embrace joyfully giving your time and
energy in a thoughtful and systematic way when you
connect with future clients, rather than starting a
connection off by "making sure you aren't giving too much or
being taken advantage of." Only abundance can come from
really taking the time and energy to truly connect with
those you are meant to serve (and to really make sure you
are a match!)

Is Your Heart Helping You To Prosper Or Keeping You Poor?

Just the other day I was walking to the subway in my
New York City neighborhood and just as I approached
a woman walking the other way, I sneezed. “Bless
you”, she said. “Thank you”, I answered, as we passed.

Neither of us stopped or even slowed down (it’s New
York, after all), but I smiled. Such a simple
gesture; such a powerful impact.


This is the energy of your heart in action, your
fourth energy point.


Most tend to miss, ignore, deny and avoid the energy of our
heart. Constantly. Especially when it comes to building
business. Yet, it’s where your brightest light and your
darkest demons reside. It can soar you to triumph or crash
you into terror.

I believe it’s pretty safe to say that we’ve all been hurt
at one time or another. The hurt doesn’t damage you, what

Looking for a love relationship? Celebrate the love
relationships that are around you; embrace wedding
invitations. Want more money in your business? Give some
away. And do it with grace.

Because the REAL key to the energy of the heart is no
attachment to what you’ll get for giving.Your
entrepreneurial strength, not your weakness, is in your
open-heartedness. True prosperity is partnered with a deep
sense of inner-peace. When you commit to living through

How You Can Magnetize Your Target Market

The importance of a "target
market
," is very true because we honestly can't serve
everyone.
If you feel resistance (a.k.a. fear) beginning
to bristle, perhaps because you believe you'll lose business
by not being willing to work with everyone, just pause for a
moment and ask yourself, "Would I really want to work with
everyone?" My guess is your answer would be no because
everyone is not your energetic match. Just bring to mind for
a moment someone you really can't stand. Now, imagine your
whole business filled with this person-every
client/customer. Kind of shifts the whole "I want to work
with everyone" perspective, right?

Understanding who your energetic match is the secret to
magnetizing your target market.
This is what we're going
to do together today, my friend.

First, let's look at why, if you recognize that having a
target market is important, do you resist it? Well, after
having coached with tons of entrepreneurs around this, I've
come up with what's missing in most of the traditional
"target market" talk:

It only addresses the outer. (And this doesn't get us
excited, but rather has us feeling limited.)

When asked to define your target market, you may have been
asked in the past to get clear about your target market's:

-Age,
-Gender,
-Marital Status,
-Occupation,
-Problem they need solved...

Let's pause for a second...does this really guarantee to help
us get narrow and specific so our message stands out to
what they need? Well, not necessarily. I bet we could get a
room full of: 35 years old single female nurses...and they
aren't all going to have the same problem.

So what we're really interested in is the situation your
target market needs solved and we make YOU the situation
solver. Then we tap into the energy that is the essence
of attraction between you and whom you WANT to work with.


It's this "inner part" that moves you into the excitement of
creating your "Ideal Client" rather than just "Target Market."

You can begin to better understand who your ideal client is
by asking yourself: What are the qualities of my ideal
client? What jazzes my ideal client? What does my ideal
client expect from me?

Really, just let the answers to these questions flow and
FEEL what would have you excited about working with this
person. Answering these questions connects you to a
situation or type of person with whom you are a natural
energetic match. This way, you're drawn together like
magnets and your ideal client recognizes right away that
working with you is a must.
They just feel it.

Golden Nugget:
Your ideal client is usually someone like you who
shares your journey.
However, they're in a different,
earlier phase of the journey.

To understand this truly is gold: when your ideal
client is looking to hire you, they're looking for a
solution to their situation or problem. They recognize
you've been where they are and have successfully made the
change.
This ignites belief that they can do it too.
It's a reassurance they're investing their time, energy, and
money in the right person and process. It's easy for you to
talk to them because it's kind of like talking to an earlier
version of yourself, yes? Just think about what you
would've wanted to hear.

So when you get clear about who your
ideal client is, and can effectively share the experience of
your journey (whether in person or in your marketing
materials), in a way that ignites the energetic match
that the two of you naturally are, then you've just
accelerated the whole process of bringing on new clients.
(This is the whole point of
having a target market in the first place
).

Are You A Resistor Or Persistor?

Back when I worked as a High School
drama teacher, I had a term that I used to describe
really good work happening in my dramaroom: creative chaos.
What was so special about these creatively chaotic
moments was that to anyone just walking by it would have
looked like mayhem, but instead it was students so engaged
in creating that they didn’t notice they were working right
on top of another group of students, that it was so loud, or
that they were, well, working. They would actually beg me
for more time to work (yes, you read that right) and would
create more quality in 15 minutes than they ever thought
possible.

Wouldn’t it be great to feel that way in your business?
That you could just be in action, really quickly, creating
high-quality marketing materials, attracting ideal clients,
producing new products and programs and not even notice
anything else around you (all your other “To-Dos”, or
various projects or housework that needs to get done …)
instead of feeling overwhelmed, like you’re torn in a
million different directions or don’t know where to focus
your attention and energy first so you just give up and
answer email instead or get a snack …

The thing is, you can.

Creative chaos is the second energy point in action, my
friend, and you have the ability to
tap into it – all the time, anytime – in your business

or any other part of your life, for that matter.

First, a bit about the second energy point: it’s located
throughout the hip area of the body, and it’s no mistake
that’s where our creation organs live as well (hmm-mmm, you
know what I mean). The golden key that will have this
energy point going to work for you and your business is in
shifting your thinking.
What’s so exciting is that when
you shift your thinking about what you’re actually capable
of creating, nothing can limit the explosion of energy that
will naturally come bursting forth. It’s the Universal
Energetic Principle of Creation.

But, for that to happen, you must be willing.

Let me go back to my drama students to show you what I mean.
To kick-off creative chaos I would usually count the
students off and put them into groups. (Some of them hated
this. This meant they weren’t with all of their friends; you
know, the people they were most comfortable with...) Next,
I would give them the task of what they needed to create and
then I would give them, say, 10 or 15 minutes in which to do
it.
At that point there was always 1 or 2 from each
group that would freak out: “What? Are you kidding? How are
we supposed to do THAT with ONLY this?” My answer, “You have
8 more minutes.”

These kids weren’t wrong, and I wasn’t mean. They were
simply playing the role of resistance, and I was playing the
role of persistence.
We all have both inside us, and
they live in our second energy point.

The question then becomes, when it comes to creating what
you want in your business: which one do you choose to
activate – resistance or persistence?


Whenever you are faced with wanting something to come into
your business – more clients, new programs, products, more
money, whatever it might be -- you ignite the energy of your
second point, and you call up either resistance or
persistence – depending on which one you’re more familiar
with.
If you aren’t sure which it is for you, take a
look at what’s around you. There’s your answer.

Ok, so if you don’t like what you see how do you change? How
do you get this second energy point really working for you?

You must create who you want to be. Shed the old;
create the new. Sounds simple. So why haven’t you done it?
We're all bound together by the common tension that lies in
the second energy point between the belief in your
potential to be your highest and most successful self
(persistence) and the fear that, for a reason most likely
you can’t actually prove, it just won’t happen (resistance).

What I really want to point out here is that persistence
isn’t about struggle, strife and ugh. That’s just resistance
pretending to be persistence. Tricky little energy, huh?

YES
to your creative abilities rather than engaging your
energy to come up with all the reasons of why you can’t.

Take a moment to ponder which one will better serve

Use time frames. This serves well for activating the

reminder and the knowing that they would be asked to present
SOMETHING when the time was up – No Matter What.)

Remember: You are an incredible, powerful person. You
get to create what you want.

What Goldilocks Can Teach You About 'Gaining The Client Commitment'

I was privately coaching with one of
my EnergyRICH® Boot Camp members a few weeks ago (we’ll call
her Debra) and she was frustrated
with how to
incorporate the EnergyRICH® concept of packaging her
services. She was blocked and could not see how this could
be done in her business.

Now, packages are an EnergyRICH®
tool that I just love because they activate the energy of
choice for your potential clients
and this is a good
thing as folks tend to like really have a part in saying how
they can best be served (I know I’d be pretty annoyed if
everywhere I went there was only one option). So, I asked
her to go over each of the packages she had created so far.
When I heard just one piece of info it was clear to me what
the issue was and how we could take care of this pretty
easy-breezy.

You see, Debra had made the same
mistake a lot of entrepreneurs make when it comes to
creating packages.
She had created her packages based on
how much time she was spending with her client rather than
opening up to explore how each package and it’s amenities
could be unique.

So how could Debra create packages
that are unique, based on benefits and value rather than
time?
Like I said, Easy-Breezy!

I asked Debra to take a step back
and from an observer’s point of view look at her services:

her expertise, what she offers, and what she delivers to her
clients and customers. Then we zeroed in on the most
important part: what RESULTS her packages deliver.
Clients don't pay for time, they pay for results.
To
help her (and you) I suggest turning to the well-know
fairy-tale, “Goldilocks and The Three Bears.”

See, I like to call the use of packages in your business
the “Papa, Mama, Baby” approach.
Modeled after, yes,
Goldilocks. She is the perfect example of a client trying to
find their right fit. She likes the house she’s in (your
business), but is trying to find the best way for it to
serve her (your packages).

Again, people like to have options. If once you’ve
attracted them to you and then all you have is one option
and that doesn’t work for them, then what? Well, there’s a
high percentage chance that they’ll walk.

Providing programs and packages provides choice and this
opens up the door of opportunity
(It also keeps you from
living appointment-to-appointment wondering when a client
will come back. Not so good for either of you, really.)
