How to Turn Mistakes Into Miracles (And More Money!)

When I think of all the mistakes I've made in my business
(some small and some not-so-small) it's important to remind
myself that “perfect” doesn’t equal more successful.

I've observed that one of the main things that keeps
entrepreneurs from marketing themselves is fixating about
"getting it right."
But this is where the famous popular sneaker
phrase pops up because it seriously is about jumping in and
doing “it” and by that I mean ANYTHING. Just get moving. It’s better to do
it wrong than not do it at all. At least the marketing
energy is moving.

Any shortcoming or small blunder will hardly ever wreck your
business.


But getting so stuck in preparation that you never get
started, will stop you right in your tracks every time.

Worrying about making a mistake reminds me of freshman year
in high school.
Somehow in Junior High I was confident enough to perform a
solo version of King Lear for extra credit in 8th
grade, but when I crossed over the football field into the
High School everything changed. I suddenly second guessed my
every move. It was agonizing and a BIG expenditure of
energy. I shudder just thinking about it. I can tell you one
thing, I felt much more powerful in 8th grade.
So, let’s check in her for a moment - what's a better way to
do business – scared and second guessing or powerful and
performing?

I was considering a joint-venture project with someone once
who as we prepared our proposal came up with over 10 reasons
of why it wasn’t a good idea. I’m sure you already realize
that I did not continue collaborating with this person. Why
sink the ship before it has even sailed!?

Declare, “My services are valuable. I will speak this, feel
this, believe this when connecting with my prospects and
they will then see the value as well.” If you don’t, who
will? If you don’t, why would anyone give you money for what
you have to offer?

2. Getting Yourself Tongue-Tied

The bottom line of business building as an entrepreneur is
conversation. It's connecting with people in a way that has
them relating to what you have to offer. But obsessing about
the perfect wording is death to productivity.


Many entrepreneurs don't even realize that there's a certain
WAY of communicating that gets the attention and interest
from prospects and it isn’t about choosing the biggest, best
words in the dictionary.

There are thousands of different marketing approaches
you could use to get the word out - from networking to

everyone else in your industry is. Entrepreneurs tend to
shoot themselves in the foot by using only one mode of
marketing, forcing themselves to do something because it’s
the “right thing to do when building business” and just
following what everyone else is doing.

there (I always say you want an energy management and

So What Myth Are You Here To Shatter?

Every person comes to this earth
with a purpose.
As an entrepreneur, you have the awesome
opportunity to fuse your business with your purpose!
Actually I would say this is a must because when you do your
clients benefit (in a big way!) and so do your bottom-line
profits (in a big way!). One of the best ways I've found to
marry purpose with profits is to get clear on what myth you
are here to shatter and start marketing your business with
it!

The first step to identifying what myth you're here to
shatter is to tap into what really makes your passion juices
flow. A great question to jump-start this process is one I
pose to my Visionary and Diamond Level Clients,
"If you had the power to solve a
pressing world problem or issue, what would you solve first?
Second? Third?"
The magic lies in your answer.
Really close your eyes and go inside, and give yourself
the space to answer this question. (I can always tell when
someone is answering from her head, i.e., "this is what I
SHOULD answer.") As the answer comes to you, jot it down.
Then walk away.

Give yourself at least five minutes and
then come back to your writing. When you read it over, if
your heart starts pounding and you feel a tug in your heart
- you're on the right path.

Next, begin to explore all the ways you can begin taking
action on this in your business RIGHT NOW. See, it's common
to tell yourself stories like, "that's such a big issue...
what can I do about it?" Or,

"Yeah, it means something to me, but right now I just need
to pay the bills." And this one, "Some day." Now, my coach's
challenge to you would be, "How can
the putting off of your passions possibly serve your
business (and I'll be bold, your life)?"

When you actually begin to partner
your passion for the BIGGER with the immediate - your energy
moves mountains, immediately.


I'll share with you one the of the myth's that I'm here to

How To Activate the "Law of AS IF ..." In Your Business

Remember the story of the "Little Engine That Could"? This little train had always pulled small loads, but one day it was called upon to deliver something greater. First, it had a hard time getting the load to move at all so it cheered itself on by puffing, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can ..." The load began to move and then natural momentum began to take over at the top of the hill and it was pulled forward -smoothly and easily ..."

Ahhh - such a nice story, isn't it?

Think your business is any different? Well, your answer says a lot about whether it is ... or it isn't.

In order to accomplish anything, you have to think and act AS IF you can. When you behave as if a task is possible, existing laws come into effect to help you. Well, what I've come to understand is that most entrepreneurs do activate the Law of AS IF ... as if they can't do it. A lot of energy is invested in all the reasons why something won't work:"I don't have the time ..."

"I don't have the money ..."
"Others in my field/city/country don't do it this way ..."
"It will take too much work ..."
"It's a bad time of year ..."
"I need to learn more ..."
"If only my parents/spouse/the lottery would give me money ..."

The Law is activated, but the energy is being directed away from what they say they want. So there is an energy mis-match, but the Law doesn't know this. It's just following the natural, energetic flow of the science that created it.

I learned how to turn this around for myself in a big way and to really have this Law working for me: I behaved AS IF I could find an affordable apartment in Manhattan. Did it. I behaved AS IF I could find true-love after 30. Did it. I behaved AS IF I could make a highly-profitable living as a coach. Doing it.

I now hold the energy of the Law of AS IF for all EnergyRICH® Clients and EnergyRICH® Business Boot Campers and teach specific techniques and tools that has each EnergyRICH® Entrepreneur activating this for themselves as a consistent part of the growth of their business.

What is it about this Law that works? Some may say it enlists the aid of the subconscious mind and I sense this is part of it, but I also sense that there is something HUGE at work here. When you feel a desire to do or to be something you haven't done or been before, you are responding to a divine idea pushing toward manifestation. When you consciously resolve to take action toward realization of that desire, you mentally CLAIM your good. When you behave AS IF you can accomplish your desire, you totally believe that it will be fulfilled. Total belief is active belief including both mental acceptance of the idea and positive action upon it. That's it. AND such belief both springs from and activates faith -- the mightiest power of all.

See, here's the thing: You are designed not only to contemplate divine ideas, but also to manifest them. So when you make a tiny effort of your own, just as the Little Engine did, you find one law after another coming to your aid.

Now, again, remember this: do not misuse the AS IF Law. It operates whether you use it consciously or not. So, if you behave AS IF something not so great exists - that works too. Get it? And either way the Law is contagious. Other energies respond to the activation of the Law of AS IF - always, no matter what. So, imagine, what contagiously would happen (more clients, more money, more freedom...) when you acted AS IF with ...

3 Steps to Magnetizing Your Ideal Clients Instantly

To prepare yourself to magnetize your ideal clients you want to first pre-pave the way for connecting with your ideal clients by having two strong, EnergyRICH® legs to stand on.

These two essence pieces (the inner AND the outer) are the foundation of your business and your marketing. Yes, they will take some energy and effort to create. But once you've got them, you have the launching pad for magnetizing your ideal clients instantly.

Next the way you pull these clients in is a step-by-step energetically aligned and practical system using at least three avenues of marketing such as referral marketing,
networking, or speaking (these are only examples and can be any avenues that work for you).

When I started my first business this is exactly what I did. I had transitioned from being a high school drama teacher to being a self-employed Nutrition and Wellness Coach.

I had 6 months to “make it in business.” That was it.

After getting clear about the above two foundation pieces I contacted every networking organization in New York City (this is a lot). I plugged in at least 2 events per week. I managed my energy before I went to every single one. I met several people. I followed up with everyone I met and every referral I received. I set up a time to connect with them sooner rather than later – and I energetically set myself up for success before each and every meeting.

I filled my practice in 9 months (and had enough income at the magic 6 month mark to keep going.)

I’ve expanded on this same model and use it even today. Always by first putting those first two foundation pieces in place, now I mostly connect with folks by email. What's missing is the energetically aligned step-by-step system. You want every action to connect and you want every action aligned with who you are and what you believe is possible. When you intend, implement and commit to this method, it's like turning on a magnet. Prospects will be drawn to you and convert into clients!

So let’s break down the main pieces of this step-by-step system:

Step One - Manage your fears and doubts.

Step Two - Craft a message that has you extremely at ease with speaking about what you do. For instance, you want to communicate your value to the people that need your services in a way that is honest, authentic to you.

Step Three - Have at least three ways of connecting with potential clients, consistently.

Step Four – Have a clear call-to-action, not to immediately buy from you necessarily, but simply to connect with you to learn more. This is important. It might sound like this, "I’d be happy to set up a time to chat so I can hear more about what you’d like to see happening for yourself and we can see if my service is a match for you."

Step Five – Put in motion your EnergyRICH® Prospect to Profits Process™: learn about their needs and desires and what’s keeping this from happening, share how your service can get them where they want to go, and gain the commitment with ease.

Repeat this step-by-step system enough times and gaining new clients will be like brushing your teeth – something you do every day, right?

Do You Fuel Your Business With Fun or Fear?

Having a business of your dreams is all about the energy. I have coached many people that had no clue of HOW they were going to do things, and in some cases, they had some real gaps in skills like marketing and selling. But, when they really understood that this is an ENERGY game- first and foremost- and they focused more on the way they felt, and how they could make small shifts, then they started to see things showing up that AMAZED them.

(They had no logical explanation, by the way.) For example, one person got $50,000 in funding after she "accidentally" met a vendor when the one she was waiting for didn't show up. Could anyone even PLAN for something like that?

In a process like this, in creating your IDEAL business, starting at the energy and core belief levels ensures you will experience some conflicts. It will feel very different from what your brain thinks you need to do right now to be successful! The goal is to allow the conflicts and begin to take baby steps, so even when you are in some conflicting energy, it becomes automatic that you start at the shifting energy level first before you start at the doing level.

When you're intentional about moving up the energetic ladder, you begin to feel more of how you want to feel, and this creates true freedom! When you can be in conflict and not see it as a bad thing, but as a place to show you where to focus your energy, and let it be ok that it is all not figured out or perfect, then you will BE free! Because when you make the best of a situation and focus on what is working, focus on taking small shifts, things HAVE to get better! From there, you do the same thing (focus on making the best of where you are now) and it has to get even better. It is about moving up the ladder until that energy becomes your automatic state.

Then your "reality" changes.

We are in a coaching process for a reason. It takes time to make changes to enable you to begin to look at any situation FIRST at the energy level. For example, "Ok, where am I? Your beliefs about selling either attract or repel people, and your beliefs directly influence your words, your actions, and your overall energy. When you come from the intention of serving, you do it for pure joy and for the way you want to be in the world, and it is truly an expression of who you are.
